[ Wichita is not. a happy. camper. and it's very obvious by her tone, the fact that this is a voice transmission instead of a video and the fact that she hasn't left the bar since she got there earlier today.
in fact, a note to all you Space Babylon regulars, the doors to the bar have been locked ( by her ) and there's no music coming from inside it either. just normal, boring silence. on the transmission, you can probably hear the slosh of booze inside of a near empty bottle ( it was nearly empty when she got here, mind. some of the bottles stopped refilling themselves each jump. isn't that great? ) and the smack of her lips once she finishes her sip before she starts talking ]
To everyone that was fr- that knew Brian Kinney, crew member 006 » 033, I've got some bad news. Or good news, if you're an optimist, which I'm not. He went home last jump. Went to sleep here, woke up not-here.
Which I guess puts me in charge of the bar.
[ hence the doors being locked and the general 'fuck off' vibe of the place ]
Are there any bartenders on board that wouldn't mind working for free? 'Work' is a loose term, I mostly just sit around drinking with people whenever I'm here. Or if anybody wants to.. be here regularly and help make sure it doesn't turn into a crapfest, let me know. Assholes need not apply. [ because nobody will ever be a better asshole than Brian. ..wait, ew. she takes another sip, and only cuts herself off when she hears the tell-tale 'whoa whoa whoa!' of her mini Wall-E bumping into something in the near-dark. ]
Did your light go out again, bud? [ the one she fashioned onto his front in case the power went ut again. or, in the case, when Wichita decides she can't deal with colored strobe lights guiding the little cleaning bot's path ] Here, c'mere- [ aaaand the feed cuts ]

well i guess if they're going to have robot rights activists
being in space would be the place to do it.
has the whole 'sci-fi' thing going already.
[That's how Jo's Logical Brain works okay.]
and that right there is an equation for some real fun nights.
only the best kind of people go straight for the hard stuff.
i can only imagine what your busy nights are like.
text; / voice;
Our busy nights are kind of a mixed bag. Sometimes it's because things are getting boring and a group of people decides it's time to party, which is fun, or it's because hell broke loose and people need to drink off the horror fest vibe it leaves behind, which is not as fun. [ she's got both of her hands up like scales, tipping up and down. not that she can see that ]
text; / voice;
that second part sounds more like home.
but i feel like that first part is more what people need around here.
if i were the type to judge based off of the general sense of 'fuck off' i've seen.
text; / voice;
and that makes her laugh, even though it shouldn't ]
Yeah, people're getting kinda stircrazy, I think. Couple jumps ago, some of the crew didn't wake up for the full month or whatever, and then.. nothing happened. I mean there was this messed up transmission, but nothing came of it. So I think everyone's just feeling a little edgy. Plus people keep running into the resident monsters on board, which sucks, since we thought they were all dead.
text; / voice;
i might want to jump on that bartending gig.
if you haven't given it out to someone else already, i mean.
[also, resident monsters? ding ding ding you've caught jo's attention.]
resident monsters?
[Dean and Sam mentioned those to her, but it never hurts to get more info from other sources.]
text; / voice;
[ siiiigh. that gains another sip, but then she's 'mn!' oh. monsters, right. ]
Yeah, yeah. As far as I know, which isn't too much, they're weird human monster hybrid things. Pretty sure it was a science experiment gone wrong, back with the original crew. They're, uh. Angry. And violent.
text; / voice;
[does that mean she has the job, wichita???? :D]
and i'm gonna take a guess and say that they're hella difficult to kill?
text; / voice;
-- Oh, yeah you can bartend here if you want, by the way. Forget if I said so.
text; / voice;
not that the ship gave me any of my guns when i showed up but hey.
at least we have a theory.
yeah?
[score!]
do you have hours or shifts or anything?
or do you just want me to show up?
text; / voice;
No hours or shifts, the bar's open all the time but people generally know not to stick around if nobody's behind the actual bar. Uhh. I don't think I could handle shifts, so. Whenever you wanna come by, just do it. It's on the 6th passenger floor.
text; / voice;
[and then died but hey, details.]
so it's literally a free for all.
except you've got the keys to open it and close it.
i'm guessing you're there now?
text; / voice;
And I am, in fact, here now, yes.
text; / voice;
right. okay. sure.
you going to be there for long?
text; / voice;
text; / voice;
any certain time or just a stop on by sorta thing?
