I hope you're not having too much trouble with the temperature and all of that. It's been a little strange for a while, hasn't it? I don't like it any more than anyone, but making the best of it is the only way to do things. We will persevere!

Where I come from, my people usually reserved that for relationships, and procreation. However, you all may have different outlooks. Would you mind sharing your opinions? I promise I won't tell a soul. I'm primarily curious about the incidence of one-night stands versus those of you who are in committed relationships. While this is a very private matter, this is for the purposes of research. Think of it like an exchange program. I wasn't human, after all.

Oh, don't worry about reassuring me. I'm adaptable, always land on my feet. And there's still the hope it isn't permanent.

It tends to be a bit of a priority for most people in most cultures. Reproduction, fertility, pleasure. Marriage, love, sexuality. Even if the primary attitude and behaviours adopted are more leant towards the conservative, there's usually some judgement or opinion on it. And, as a human experience, it's certainly one you wouldn't have had before.

I see your point, but it hasn't been something I've looked into. I'm more concerned about protecting and keeping people company than I am about having any kind of intimate relations with them. I don't think there's anything wrong with that, of course, either philosophy.

My functions were varied, but those were my personal concerns. I had to choose my path, so I did.

I see. No one else has mentioned it until today, possibly because I haven't asked. It never seemed like something I would care about doing, and it's never been a priority. Certainly I seek all the information I can gather, but I'm very much a self-guided learner.

Is that the usual situation for an AI where you're from? Choosing your path.

I'd say that's the best way, but open sources of information are rather limited here. And the libraries are odd, to say the least.

I became rather willful, after a time.

The libraries are rather useless. I haven't found an ounce of amusement there. Most entertaining here are the people, their quirks and kindnesses and oddities.

You wouldn't be the first to find enjoyment in people watching.

It kept me into and out of trouble at home.
